15th Medicare International Healthcare Exhibition 2026 inaugurated at BMICH

The 15th edition of the Medicare International Healthcare Exhibition 2026 commenced at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo on Friday (6), bringing together key stakeholders from across Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector.

Recognised as Sri Lanka’s premier healthcare exhibition, Medicare 2026 is dedicated to educating the public while showcasing the latest advancements in healthcare services, medical technology, wellness, and medical tourism. The exhibition features over 150 stalls representing both local and international exhibitors.

The inauguration ceremony was held with the participation of Chief Guest His Excellency Mr. David Pine, the High Commissioner of the High Commission of New Zealand.

The occasion was also graced by Dr. Rajesh Sambhajirao Pandav, WHO Representative to Sri Lanka from the World Health Organisation, along with distinguished representatives from government and private sector healthcare institutions.

The Medicare International Healthcare Exhibition serves as a vital platform for showcasing the latest developments in healthcare services, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, wellness solutions, and healthcare education. The exhibition also provides an opportunity for healthcare organisations to connect directly with the public and raise awareness about a wide range of health-related services and innovations.

The exhibition will take place over three days, welcoming healthcare professionals, students, industry stakeholders, and the general public to explore diverse healthcare services and innovations presented by leading organisations in the sector.

Key segments featured at Medicare 2026 include the National Healthcare and Medical Education Expo, Nirogya – International Ayurveda and Herbal Expo, Healthy Living Expo, Medical Equipment and Pharma Expo, and the International Hospital Expo.

In addition, the Medicare General Public Seminar Programme, designed to educate and empower the public with essential health knowledge, attracted significant participation from visitors eager to learn from healthcare professionals and industry experts.

The event continues to strengthen collaboration within Sri Lanka’s healthcare industry while promoting awareness, innovation, and accessibility in healthcare services, further reinforcing Medicare’s role as a leading platform for the country’s healthcare development.
